Condition

The dark blue counter-enamel in the back of both plaques is consistent with painted enamels of this period. Minor scratches are visible to the surface in some places, consistent with age and handling. - Summer: The enamel may have been slightly refreshed and possibly retouched on the red skirt. The enamel on the upper right corner may have been retouched as well where the surface is slightly matte. - Spring: With more consistent scratches all over the surface. The enamel appears to have been retouched above the crown of flowers in the foliage, on the blue mantle on her proper right thigh and on the black background to the right.
