Designed as a torsade of sapphire beads, highlighted with brilliant-cut diamond set rondelles, embellished at the center with a floral motif pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds and an oval sapphire, length approximately 420mm, Italian assay mark for gold and maker's mark for Michele della Valle.
Condition
Maker's mark for Michele della Valle, stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Sapphire beads well matched in colour, some with abrasions. Oval sapphire measuring approximately 14.40 x 11.61 x 7.08mm, blue of medium strong saturation, some inclusions visible under 10x magnification, minor abrasions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 4.00 - 4.50 carats, on average G-H colour,VS clarity, as gauged and graded within the limitations of the mount. Gross weight approximately 134 grams.
