The board appears to be sound, although there is some slight rounding to the corners with some tiny associated loss. There are some nicks to the edges, with one or two small flecks of loss. There are some further tiny flecks of loss towards the left and upper edges, not wholly visible in the present mounting. There are two small pushes to the lower and right edges, with some tiny associated loss. There are one or two small scratches to the surface at the centre of the left edge and in the upper left corner. There is some surface dirt. Subject to the above the work appears to be in very good overall condition. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals some incredibly fine lines of fluorescence, thought to be as a result of the varnish. The work is held within a gilt and plaster wooden frame.
