Condition
The canvas appears original. There is a very minor frame abrasion to the extreme upper corners. There are some very fine lines of craqueluere to the sky with further lines to the central hill, centre of the bottom edge and to the right-hand side, with one or two further scattered lines elsewhere.There are one or two instances of studio matter in places and some light surface dirt. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals no evidence of fluorescence or retouching. The work is held behind glass in a painted wooden frame.
