The canvas is original and is a little loose on its stretcher. There is a stretcher bar mark towards the upper edge. There are a small number of scuffs along the upper edge and in the extreme upper corners, most visible owing to the floated presentation of the work. There is some light rubbing to the extreme edges. There is some surface dirt and studio matter throughout. This excepting the work appears to be in very good overall condition. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.  The work is floated within a simple wooden frame.
