Condition

Structurally sound. There are one or two instances of glaze loss to the rim and upper area of the piece, as is common with low-fired pieces by Cardew, as well as to the edges of the handles. There is a small glaze firing defect to the lower part of the front. There is a light crackle to the clear earthenware glaze, in keeping with the nature of the artist's materials. This excepting the work appears in very good overall condition. Please contact the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
