Condition
Box: Overall in very good condition consistent with age and gentle handling. The black painted surfaces present with scattered minor rubbing, scuffs and surface scratches concentrated to the outer edges as partially visible in the printed and online catalogs. The underside with a slightly deeper scratch measuring approximately 2 in. in length. The nickel plated surface with minor oxidation, and the enameled surfaces with minor fine craquelure visible on close inspection and is not visually disruptive. The enamel with a few scattered nicks, the largest measuring approximately ¼ in. in length. A beautiful and highly representative work of the designer in very good condition. Thermos: Overall in very good condition consistent with age and gentle use. The enameled surfaces present with minor scattered scuffs, scratches and a few nicks. The metal elements present with minor scattered oxidation, concentrated to the underside of the base. The aluminum stopper with a minor shallow dent to the top centre and is not visually disruptive. The cork stopper is intact and presents with minor losses to the lower edge. The vacuum glass liner appears to be intact and undisturbed.
