The inscription records the gift of this box to Gregori Ivanovich Choglokov from the military staff 2nd Turkistan Cossack Division on 11th April 1917, followed by a list of the officers; in good condition

The inscription records the gift of this box on April 11, 1917 to Grigory Ivanovich Choglokov, Lt. General, Commander of the 2nd Turkestan Cossack Division from fellow officers. Born in 1867, he had a distinguished career in the first world war, but emigrated to Turkey after the Revolution where he died in 1921.
