The lacquered surfaces present with scattered minor surface scratches, scuffs, chips and rubbing throughout. The central top surfaces with faint horizontal surface marks, possibly resulting from a packing materials interacting with the lacquered top at some stage in the piece's history. One of the extension leaves with craquelure throughout and with a larger chip to one edge measuring approximately 1/2 x 3/8 in. The other extension leaf with three hairline cracks running width wise, each approximately 19 1/8 in. and appear stable. The metal base with minor scattered oxidation, scuffs and surface scratches consistent with age and use. The gilt metal brackets with scattered chips throughout.
