Condition
Overall in very good condition consistent with age and use. The wood surfaces with minor gentle fading, scuffs, abrasions and scratches throughout. The fabric upholstery presents with gentle fading, dirt, discoloration and isolated stains consistent with use. CHAIR 1: The frame joins present with minor seam separation and exhibit some lateral movement. The right proper armrest is loose and should be stabilised. The lower lower proper left and right backrest struts with hairline cracks, approximately 4 in. (10 cm) and 1 in. (2.5 cm) respectively. The rear proper right leg with a hairline crack approximately 6 in. (15 cm) and appears stable. The same leg with a small chip to the base, approximately 1/2 x in. (1.3 cm) square. The rear proper left leg with a hairline crack which measures approximately 6 in. (15 cm) and appears to have been professionally and sensitively restored. CHAIR 2: The frame joins present with minor seam separation. The lower proper right backrest struts with a few hairline cracks which measure approximately 3 in. (7.5 cm) and appear stable. The rear of the seat frame with a crack which measures approximately 4 1/4 in.(11 cm) and has been professionally and sensitively restored. The proper left seat frame with two hairline cracks and a chip which measure 1 in. (2.5 cm), 2 1/2 in. (6.3 cm) and 1 1/2 in. (3.8 cm) respectively and appear stable. A fine pair of chairs in very good original condition.
