in Renaissance revival style, chased with strapwork and grotesques, each side with roundel, one with foliate monogram ALR, the other engraved "1856 / 26 October / 1884", the glass cut with scrolling flowers and fluting
Condition
one with several small dings to monogrammed roundel, the other with a ding to dated roundel; the cover doesn't close flush on one, the other cover with finial pushed down slightly on one side; a few minor nicks to glass; otherwise good condition
