each with a pear-shaped body set over a short foot and tapering to a slender neck, the body painted in dark underglaze blue with the 'Three Friends of Winter', the leaves and blossoms of the bamboo, prunus, and pine picked out in famille-verte enamels and gilt, all between a lappet band below and registers of further blossoms at the shoulder and neck, later-added ormolu mounts, drilled and wired for electricity
