拍品資料及來源

Jessie Preston Draper (1855-1917) was the daughter of Major General William Preston of Louisville, Kentucky.  She married in 1890 George Albert Draper; her sister Susan had married earlier that same year George's brother Brigadier General William Draper, probably the only instance where a Union general married the daughter of a Confederate general he had faced on the battlefield.  George and Jessie had three children, and the Jessie Preston Draper Memorial Building was erected in her honor at Berea College, Kentucky.
