Condition

Lacquer top with craquelure and old marks to the surface, with a later protective layer of shellac that has become slightly clouded in places. Age cracks to square column and one leg near junction with the base; another leg re-glued to base. Telescopic mechanism functions but is somewhat stiff and coudl benefit from attention to be able to raise and lower more smoothly. Minor scuffs and marks to mahogany consistent with age.
