Condition

1) Six scenes in registers depicting Lord Krishna and his faithful companion Uddhava with scenes of Gokula beneath. Excellent overall condition. Slight stain to buff upper ground in the upper central register. Exhibited in temporary frame. This painting has not been inspected outside its frame. 2) Scene from the Ramayana- the anointment of Lord Rama and Sita as king and queen. Very good overall condition. Slight scuffing to pigment on red folio border on the upper left corner. Exhibited in temporary frame. This painting has not been inspected outside its frame. 3) Krishna frolicking with gopis and companions in the forest bordering the Yamuna. Good overall condition. Scuffing and staining to pigments on extreme upper left quadrant, clearly visible in catalogue illustration. Exhibited in temporary frame. This painting has not been inspected outside its frame. 4) Lord Indra performing rituals along with sages in the presence of kings and celestials. Very good overall condition. Loss to pigment on the ear of Indra seated in the lower register and on one of the seated kings at center in the upper register. Exhibited in temporary frame. This painting has not been inspected outside its frame. 5) Lord Krishna's faithful companion Uddhava departs from Gokula and arrives in Mathura bearing gifts. Very good overall condition. Slight scuffing to red pigment on lower folio border. Exhibited in temporary frame. This painting has not been inspected outside its frame.
