Condition
The canvas is not lined and examination under UV light reveals an area of scattered retouching to the centre of the composition, probably caused by abrasion from the stretcher bar, which is visible under a raked light. There is another area of retouching in the sky towards the upper right corner. There is some further minor retouching along the extreme edges relating to light frame abrasion, not visible when framed. There is a small horizontal line of shrinkage to the left edge. This work is in overall good condition.
