Please note that the repairs for lot 32 will be done by Lange post-sale at Sotheby's expense and will take approximately 6 months.
The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.

A. Lange & Söhne debuted the Richard Lange Perpetual Calendar Terraluna at SIHH 2014. Housed in a massive 45.5 mm case, the watch combines a perpetual calendar, oversized moon-phase with orbit and 14 day power reserve.
The technical prowess of the watch is enhanced by the beautiful aesthetics of the regulator dial, where the firm gives visual priority to the most useful information to the wearer. The largest register displays the minutes track and houses the twin aperture for the date. Interlaced below, the seconds register and hours register contain the apertures for day and month respectively.
The reverse of the watch has a crescent shaped window to view the caliber L096.1, however, the star of the back is the large moon-phase display. In the center lies a representation of the earth which rotates every 24 hours, giving the reader a world-time complication. Stars and a moon orbits the earth, making a full rotation every lunar month. The movement is incorporated into this scene, as the balance wheel represents the sun. Completing the movement is the constant force escapement, visible just above the balance wheel.
