CASE Case in overall fair condition with wear and light surface scuffs. Case in our opinion, appears lightly previously polished. Flat bezel with some very light wear, scuffing, and small surface scratches. Bubble back case back with some scuffs and wear. The case numbers to the outside case back are well defined and legible. The associated bracelet is expandable. DIAL Dial with heavy oxidation and wear. Surface markings throughout. Some oxidation to the hands. MOVEMENT Movement with some signs of wear and light oxidation. The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. The present lot is known as a 'lifesaver,' as its large flat bezel resembled the nautical lifebelts of the time. The lifesaver also has a robust and protruding case back found on early Oyster models popularly coined 'bubble backs.'
