Condition

CASE Case in good condition, finish is worn overall. Engraving remains crisp. Bow and pendant particularly worn. Back enamel panel has been reset and glued in, loss to the gold and enamel border, enamel scene with scratches and light loss at the bottom. Inner case with loss of finish overall, in good condition with some scratches and pitting. DIAL Dial in good condition. No visible cracks but there are some scratches to the finish and surface that run deep. MOVEMENT Chiming is sluggish and the train and spring would benefit from cleaning and service. The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement. ***Please be advised that the bands on this watch are made of materials derived from endangered or otherwise protected species (i.e. alligator and crocodile) and thus not sold with the watch, they are for display purposes only.
