拍品資料及來源
A frequent theme in Roman sculpture initiated by Gianlorenzo Bernini, the Kneeling Angel appears in many bozzetti, including the group of Saint Theresa in Ecstasy (Hermitage Museum No. 619) or those of the altarpiece of the Blessed Sacrament (Harvard Art Museum, Cambridge, inv.no. 1937.62 and inv. no. 1937.64). The sculptor of this bozzetto can probably be found within the circle of Bernini and contemporary to Ercole Ferrata (1610-1690). His bozzetto for the Angel with the Cross on the Ponte Sant'Angelo is quite similar (Hermitage Museum, inv. no. 623). RELATED LITERATURE:
