Condition
The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. There are many chips, rubbed areas and losses, which reveal the red bowl, the white gesso and the wood underneath. Both constructions are loose and would benefit from a restoration. As stated in the catalogue, the tapestry is 18th century, with some wears and tears, especially to the padded arms. There are some old restorations to the tapestry. The colors are sunfaded, but the pink and red are still vivid.
