Condition

Overall in very good condition. Surfaces present with minor scattered scuffs and scratches throughout consistent with age and gentle use. The top of one seat with a series of slightly deeper scratches concentrated to the front of the seat towards the edge, measuring approximately 6 x 6 inches. Proper left edge of one seat with sensitive professional infill, measuring approximately 2 ¼ inches and not visually distracting. Minor scuffs and shallow indentation on backrest as well. Seamless hairline crack across rear upper back rail of one chairs, measuring approximately 11 inches, which has been professionally and sensitively restored and only visible upon close inspection. Bases of all legs with minor scuffs and nicks, not visually distracting and consistent with age and use. An important set of chairs by the designer, and a superb example of his design aesthetic.
