Condition
Overall in very good condition. The smaller Coq is slightly wobbly on the base but with a perfectly stable and sturdy upper structure. Minor signs of oxidation can be seen throughout the metallic surface on both pieces, particularly on the head and neck, and resulting in slight variations in tone. On the main body and tail of the larger piece, blue paint is partially worn off, as to be expected over time, yet still contrasts with the otherwise metallic color of both pieces. The walnut bases both show signs of minor wear, evidence of minor tape residue, scratching, nicks and minor discolorations throughout though not visually distracting. These two sculptures are fine examples of Lambert-Rucki's surrealist work with metal.
