Condition

Overall excellent original condition. The bronze surfaces with some light scratches and minor rubbings to high points and areas of natural oxidation consistent with age and gentle handling. A few of the stems (less than 5) are slightly misaligned, as is common for these forms over time. The oxidation intended by the artist is a nice variation of green to deep blue. The central stem is copper and presents with a rich and warm russet patina. The base with variations of bright and subdued greens and brown to the metal throughout, naturally occurring over time. A rare double-bush form by Bertoia, the piece exhibits an organic sense of movement, presenting very well in person.
