Condition

Overall very good condition. The epoxy stone has been professionally and sensitively cleaned and presents well overall. There are a few irregularities to the stone as well as faint color variations, which are all inherent in the material. The stone is of a slightly warmer, natural hue when compared against the catalogue illustration (as well as the Belier and Agneau models as is typical). The bronze elements have been professionally waxed, allowing the patina to present with a richly saturated brown-blue tone. There is slight rubbing to the raised area of the bronze, particularly the nose and ears, but blends nicely within the overall patination. The legs with surface scratches, light abrasions and some minor oxidation as is slightly visible in the catalogue illustration. An iconic model by Lalanne, this examples presents nicely alongside the other "Moutons" from this designation (lot 103, 104, 105, 106).
