Half green morocco over green cloth covered boards, spine with raised bands in six compartments, second and fourth gilt-lettered, marbled endpapers, original upper wrappers bound it; edges rubbed, some toning to edges.

Complete set of 15 parts bound in 2 volumes. The work includes all the species obtained by George Henderson during the first expedition, and therefore deals with materials from both of the Yarkand expeditions, despite its title. The contributors include Richard Bowdler Sharpe, Allan Hume, W.T. Blanford, H.W. Bates and others.
