PHOTO ALBUM DOCUMENTING THE FIRST EUROPEAN DUTY OF THIS U.S. NAVY DESTROYER, 1922–23
2 oblong photo albums (9 1/2 x 12 1/2 in.; 240 x 317 mm), one with green mounting sheets, the other with black, the first containing 145 mostly original mounted photograph postcards captioned in the print, with some snapshots (each ca. 3 1/2 x 5 5/8 in.; 89 x 137 mm), the second mostly snapshots of naval and civilian life (each ca. 2 1/2 x 4 1/4 in.; 64 x 107 mm, or smaller); some sheets, particularly the black ones, brittle and broken, some sheets loose, some photographs slightly faded. The two albums bound together within green cloth covers gilt-lettered "Photographs"; extremities rubbed, ties loose.
