Bradbury's first published story, featured in a rare fan-produced science fiction magazine"Hollerbochen's Dilemma," published when Bradbury was 18 years old, appeared in the January 1938 instalment of Forrest J. Ackerman's fanzine 'Imagination!'. The issues sold for 10 cents, with about 100 copies of each issue printed.  This represents the first magazine effort by Bradbury and Ackerman, who then went on to produce 'Fantasia' magazine in 1939. In addition to Bradbury, the magazine ran articles and artwork by a number of authors and artists who would go one to make names for themselves.  The September issue, for example, features cover art by Ray Harryhausen, who became one of Hollywood's most celebrated special effects artists. The lower wrappers are addressed to the same recipient, R. A. Leadabrand, who was a local writer and sometimes contributor to the magazine.
