An extraordinary edition of the Latin Bible printed in counter-reformation Spain, by Lyonnais printers. The present edition includes the reformed Zurich version alongside the Vulgate. This represents of one four editions of the Bible to be printed in Spain in the 15th and 16th centuries, and the only one to hold the the Zurich version. The scholia based on François Vatable's Sorbonne lectures are added, and the whole prepared under the auspices of the theologians of Salamanca, with the approval of the Inquisition, signed at the end in ink by "Roman de Vallezillo, Commissario de Inquisition, June 1858".
