Small gothic type, larger heading type, in two columns, rubricated in red, capitals touched in red, large initials alternately painted red and blue, large painted ornate initial and tracery ornament to first and third leaves; repaired closed tear to l3, corner of Q8 renewed, final leaf with repaired closed tear starting from gutter, one or two instances of minor marginal dampstaining, a few stray spots, a few closed marginal tears, some of which repaired. Original wooden boards, 19th century calf spine with raised bands in six compartments, edges speckled red, original vellum endleaves with extensive contemporary annotations; lacking clasps, some end leaves darkened with minor loss. Cream cloth covered clamshell case, spines in light brown calf, gilt-lettered.
