Condition
Overall very good condition. The shade features a complex undulant wave decoration which enhances the visual movement of the shade. The favrile glass with some scattered minute air bubbles and particulate inclusions inherent in the making and not visually detractive. The shade with some expected concentrated minor surface scratches at the top collar where the shade is installed into the fitter, not visible when the shade is installed. The rare “Pond Lily” base is in very good condition displaying a luminous gilt patina with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, light rubbing, and minor traces of surface soiling to the recessed contours of the design consistent with age and gentle handling. The sockets and paddle switches all appear original and undisturbed. With a later replaced shade fitter in very good condition. A stunning shade and base pairing with exquisitely cast naturalistic details on the base.
