Overall very good condition. The favrile glass shade is brilliantly iridized. When seen with reflected light the shade displays an array of silver, lavender, blue, and deep violet and indigo jewel-tone hues. When seen with remitted light these tones are complemented by passages of warm amber. The shade features a complex undulant wave decoration which enhances the visual movement of the shade. The favrile glass with some scattered minute air bubbles and particulate inclusions inherent in the making and not visually detractive. The shade with some expected concentrated minor surface scratches at the top collar where the shade is installed into the base, not visible when the shade is installed. The patinated bronze base is in very good condition and displays a rich russet brown and green patina. The bronze surfaces with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, small areas of wear, and traces of oxidation consistent with age and gentle use. The ball and top surface of the base with some more concentrated surface scratches and wear to the patina due to the movement of the counter-balance mechanism. The base with some traces of very light surface soiling to the recessed contours of the design. The cord guide with a small loss approximately 1/3 of the circumference. With a later replaced socket. An exceptional example of the model displaying outstanding decoration, color and iridescence to the shade.
