Condition
Overall very good condition. The patinated bronze surfaces display a rich russet brown patina, with some scattered surface scratches, abrasions, and traces of light surface soiling to the recessed contours of the design consistent with age and gentle handling. The base with some minor traces of oxidation and wax residue. The glass cabochon jewels all appear original and undisturbed and present with luminous iridization. The period bobeche shade fitter with some wax residue to the interior. The favrile glass shade is in very good condition with some occasional scattered minor air bubbles, particulate inclusions, and minor surface irregularities inherent in the making and not visually detractive. The bottom aperture of the shade with a few extremely minute edge flecks, not visible when the shade is installed. A very attractive example of this complex and sculptural candlestick form.
