cylindrical form, the body chased with scenes from the life of Moses, the flat-dome cover chased with a band of foliate strap-work, orb finial, ornate scroll handle, on a spreading circular base, later monogrammed MJ

Condition

Clearly marked to rim of cover. Later control marked also to rim. The cover has had an inscription erased to the cover, gilding lost at these points. Gilding is a little worn but still present in correct areas. The decoration a little worn to high points but generally good overall.
