描述

  • Silver-gilt
  • 25.6cm., 10 1/8 in. high
the body chased fruit bouquets within scrolling strap-work on a matted ground, the cover and foot similarly chased, the finial cast as Bacchus, later sheet-scroll work and girdled stem, later Austrian control marks

Condition

Maker's mark and town mark stamped to body and cover. Control marks to cover, body and foot. The stem is most probably a later replacement, as are both areas of sheet-scroll work. The whole is later gilded. Some signs of old repair. Would recommend viewing.
