During the 1930s, many sports cars relied on Jaeger movements to power their dashboards, including Aston Martin’s very own 1.5L LM race car. It can be said that the relationship between the two legendary brands is a long lasting and a historically significant one. The modern Jaeger Lecoultre and Aston Martin partnership debuted in September 2004 with the introduction of the limited AMVOX 1 timepiece. This 42mm lightweight titanium timepiece was inspired from the 1965 Memovox model, incorporating the world famous alarm complication and a date. The initial 1000 pieces rapidly sold out, encouraging the two brands to carry on with the partnership until 2016.
The present watch, made in 2005, belongs to an incrementally more exclusive edition of 20 pieces launched to celebrate the then new Aston Martin V8 Vantage sports car. This particular version of the AMVOX1 displays vibrant yellow Arabic numerals on its brushed grey dial and a matching strap made from the very same leather Aston Martin seats are crafted from. This watch stands in excellent condition and offers all the elegance, comfort and prestige an Aston Martin enthusiast could look for in a special watch.
