描述

Set with a cushion-cut alexandrite weighing 5.98 carats, within a halo of old European-cut diamonds, the gallery and shoulders decorated with similarly-cut diamonds, size 4¾.

Condition

In overall good condition, the shank has been resized and a portion of the platinum bead work on the back-side of the shank is missing. The alexandrite is a medium slightly yellowish green color in daylight and a medium brownish pink color in incandescent light, slightly included with a small surface reaching inclusions visible beneath the girdle with 10x magnification, and some minor nicks and abrasions to the table surface also visible under magnification. The diamonds, estimated to weigh approximately 0.35 carat, are bright and lively. Accompanied by AGL report no. 1085371 stating that the alexandrite is of Ceylon origin, with no evidence of clarity enhancement, with a strong degree of color-change (70 %-80%), and a very good quality of color-change.
