描述

The clasp designed as a serpent head applied with white enamel, accented by single and old European-cut diamonds, cabochon rubies, and two pear-shaped jadeite cabochons, completed by a triple strand of cultured pearls measuring approximately 8.2 to 7.8 mm, length 7 inches, signed Webb.

Condition

In overall good condition with minor scratching and discoloration to the metal commensurate with wear. Stamped 18K and PLAT for 18 karat gold and platinum. The round to near-round pearls display a creamy white body color with soft rose and green overtones, good luster and minute to moderate blemishing. The enamel is intact with a few areas of loss and discoloration, particularly to the edges of the snakes head. The single and old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 6.40 carats are approximately G-I color, VS-SI clarity, with some abrasions and nicks to the facet junctions, visible only under close inspection. The rubies are a medium strongly purplish red, moderately included, with chips to the surface, visible only under close inspection. The jade is semi-translucent, medium slightly yellowish green with some color mottling. One jade cabochon displaying a vertical chip at the edge of the stone. The jade is slightly loose in the mounting and would benefit from the attention of a jeweler. Fitted with a safety clasp.
