The necklace composed of beads, the largest set with oval-shaped multi-colored sapphires, alternating with beads pavé-set with rose-cut diamonds and smaller beads pavé-set with round near colorless and black diamonds, length 19½ inches, signed MdV; the earrings suspending similarly-set multi-colored sapphire beads, surmounted by tsavorite garnets and diamond-set beads, unsigned.

In good condition with light wear and tarnishing to the metal commensurate with wear. The necklace: stamped 750 for 18 karat gold, signed MdV on the clasp mechanism. The necklace composed of various sized beads measuring from 17.5 to 5.8 mm. The beads set with multi-colored sapphires including orange, slightly yellowish green, violetish purple, slightly purplish red, and very strongly greenish blue colored sapphires, of varying tones and saturations, the gemstones are slightly to heavily included, some with abrasions to facet junctions. The beads set with rose-cut diamonds are of decorative quality, weighing a total of approximately 8.00 carats. The beads set with round diamonds weighing approximately a total of 9.00 carats are approximately G-I color, VS-SI clarity. The black diamonds on the smallest beads are in good condition. The earrings: earrings test as 14 karat gold. Backings stamped 14K for 14 karat (white) gold, the earring backs numbered 1585. The earrings are unsigned. The beads set with multi-colored sapphires including medium blue, light blue, medium orangish yellow, medium light pink, medium slightly purplish red, and medium light slightly yellowish green colored sapphires, of varying tones and saturations, the gemstones are slightly to moderately included, some with abrasions to facet junctions. The tsavorite garnets are medium slightly yellowish green, slightly to moderately included. The beads set with round diamonds weighing approximately 0.90 carat are approximately G-I color, VS-SI clarity. Length of earrings approximately 1 inch.
