The necklace designed as a garland of textured gold leaves highlighted with round rubies, length 15 inches, signed Buccellati; and a pair of earclips of similar design, signed M. Buccellati. Fitted with posts.
Condition
Both pieces in overall good condition, with wear and some areas of discoloration and tarnish commensurate with age, warm patina throughout. The necklace is inscribed ITALY - 18K. The rubies, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 2.65 carats, are medium slightly purplish red, moderately included, some with surface reaching inclusions. The clasp closes securely and is fitted with a safely closure. The earclips are inscribed ITALY and 750 for 18 karat gold. The rubies estimated to weigh a total of approximately 0.45 carat, are a medium slightly purplish red, moderately included, a few with surface reaching inclusions. The earclips measure approximately 1⅛ inches in length and ⅞ inch in width. Fitted with posts for wear on pierced ears. Gross weight approximately 44 dwts.
