NATURAL PEARL AND DIAMOND NECKLACE, GÜBELIN

The front section set with variously coloured button-shaped natural pearls alternating with marquise-shaped diamonds, suspending a drop shaped treated natural pearl measuring approximately 10.98 x 11.12 x 18.18mm, the cap set with brilliant-cut diamonds, length approximately 400mm, signed Gübelin, numbered, maker's mark.

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 47165, dated 8th September 2006, stating that the button-shaped pearls are natural, saltwater. Measuring from approximately 4.10 x 4.15 x 3.15mm to 6.85 x 6.90 x 5.60mm. No indications of colour modification, but the base of some pearls has been worked. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 98360, dated 5th March 2018 stating that the drop shaped pearl is natural, saltwater, with indications of colour modification. Measuring 10.98 x 11.12 x 18.18mm. Signed Gubelin, numbered 3395-6, with maker's mark and stamped 750 for 18 carat white gold. The drop-shaped treated natural pearl displays a dark gray body colour with moderate green and purple overtones, medium lustre and minor to moderate blemishing with examples of wrinkled skins and lighter colour banding. The button-shaped pearls range in body colour from silvery white, creamy white, golden, and gray, with strong green and pink overtones, good lustre and minor blemishing mainly in the form bandin and indentations. The diamonds are estimated to weigh a total of approximately 8.00-8.50 carats,, estimated colour G-H, estimated clarity VS on average. Fitted with a safety closure and pendant loop, pendant detachable. Length of chain approximately 400mm, total gross weight approximately 30.1 grams.
