Set with an oval ruby weighing 4.02 carats, within a surround of brilliant-cut diamonds, size L.

Accompanied by Gübelin report no. 18090136, dated 4th October 2018, stating that the ruby weighing 4.02 carats and measuring 9.46 x 8.31 x 5.48mm, is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. Also accompanied by a letter from Gubelin regarding Burmese rubies. Accompanied by GRS report no. 2018-096046, dated 12th September 2018, stating that 4.02 carat ruby, measuring 9.42 x 8.30 x 5.48mm, is of Burmese origin, no indications of heating, vivid red 'pigeon's blood' colour. Accompanied by a case. The ruby presents a deep purplish red colour, semi-transparent, moderately to heavily included with a few surface-reaching inclusions and other examples of typical inclusions, with one minor chip at the edge of the girdle visible only under magnification. The diamonds are estimated to weigh a total of approximately 0.55 carat, and are approximately H-I colour, predominantly VS clarity. Shank intact, and overall very good condition. Gross weight approximately 5.8 grams.
