Designed as a posy of violets, set with carved nephrite and amethyst and brilliant-cut diamonds, Austrian assay marks and maker's marks, fitted case stamped Paltscho. 

Condition

Reverse stamped 585 for 14 carat gold, with Austrian assay marks for Vienna, and maker's mark GP for Paltscho. Amethyst mid purple, transparent to translucent, with typical colour zoning and inclusions visible to the naked eye. Amethyst violet on left with a chip and associated loss to one section at the edge. Nephrite deep green, translucent, with typical colour mottling. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.40 - 0.60 carats. Light scratches to metal and minor areas of discolouration consistent with age and wear. Brooch fitting in good working order, closing securely. Overall dimensions approximately 76 x 46mm, gross weight approximately 25 grams. Overall in good condition.
