Comprising: a necklace of torsade design, composed of cultured pearls and sapphire beads, to a central detachable clasp set with a pear-shaped yellow sapphire stated to weigh 4.85 carats above an oval sapphire stated to weigh 12.00 carats, each within a surround of brilliant-cut diamonds, length approximately 420mm, signed Sansoni; and a pair of earrings of similar design to the clasp, post and clip fittings.
Condition
Necklace: reverse of clasp signed Sansoni, stamped 18K, z. cm. 4.85, z. cm. br. cm. 5.55 (presumably indicating diamond weight). Sapphires both transparent, typical inclusions visible to the naked eye including colour zoning. Cultured pearls and sapphire beads with some light surface wear. Clasps secure, one with some tarnish, light scuffs to metal. Earclips: unsigned. Sapphires and metal in similar condition to necklace, yellow sapphires with rubbed facet edges. Clip fittings with good tension. Combined gross weight approximately 161 grams, overall in good condition.
