CITRINE AND DIAMOND BROOCH, ATTRIBUTED TO CARTIER, 1940S

Designed as two flowers, set with variously shaped citrines and circular-cut diamonds, unsigned, later brooch fitting, the left flower detaching to fit a later ring mount, size I, unsigned.

Condition

Unsigned. Citrines varying from deep brownish orange to pale yellow, transparent, with typical inclusions visible under close magnification, some areas of light surface wear to facet edges. Detachable flower head with evident solder repair to the reverse. Replaced brooch pin and safety catch, closing securely. Brooch measuring approximately 52 x 40mm, detachable flower head approximately 24 x 25mm. Total gross weight including ring fitting approximately 19.4 grams. Accompanied by two ring boxes, one from A.A. Julius Ltd, the other unsigned and damaged.
