The brooch designed as a lion, set with cabochon chrysoprase eyes, the muzzle, ears and fangs pavé-set with single-cut diamonds, the body and nose applied with red and black enamel; and a ring of similar design, set with circular-cut emerald eyes, size J, each with Italian assay and maker's marks.
Condition
Each with maker's marks an Italian maker's marks. Some areas of loss to enamel, particularly to one leg and jaw of the lion on brooch. Some minor enamel loss to ring. Diamonds bright and lively. Some surface wear to chrysoprase and emeralds. Minor areas of light discolouration. Scratches to metal surfaces. Brooch fitting closes securely. Overall in good condition. Total gross weight approximately 87.4 grams. Brooch measuring approximately73 x 48mm.
