DIAMOND BROOCH, CARTIER, 1960S

Designed as an orchid, the pistils set with brilliant-cut and marquise-shaped diamonds, signed Cartier, numbered, French export and maker's marks, British hallmarks and sponsor's marks, case stamped Cartier.

Signed Cartier France, numbered L1827, stamped with French maker's mark and export assay mark for 18 carat gold and British import hallmarks for London, 18 carat gold and date letter D for 1959. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 2.00 - 2.40 carats. Light scratches to surfaces and areas of minor discoloration consistent with age and wear. Section with three petals and central element slightly loose, would benefit from tightening by a jeweller. Measuring approximately 73 x 66mm, gross weight approximately 30.3 grams. Overall in good condition. Fitted case stamped Cartier.
