Modelled as a scarab, the body set with a carved lapis lazuli, to a cabochon turquoise head and circular-cut diamond eyes, to rose diamond front legs, signed Cartier, numbered, French assay marks.

Condition

Signed Cartier Paris, numbered 017566 and French assay marks for gold on brooch fitting. Stamped with French assay marks for gold to reverse. Diamonds bright and lively. Stone surfaces with some surface scratches commensurate with age and wear. Some solder repair visible to the reverse base. Metal surfaces with scratches, some pits and some discolouration. Overall condition good.
