The bag of black silk with floral designs in gold brocade, the clasp set with a spherical rose quartz and accented with black enamel, the tassel supporting an additional rose quartz carving of Budai, to a cord strap, measuring approximately 163 x 168mm, stamped Cartier.
Condition
Bag with two compartments, stamped Cartier, made in France to interior. Fabric in good condition, areas of slight fraying, and light wear. Rose quartz light pink, transparent to translucent, with typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, some surface-reaching, some minor chips and areas of wear to surface. Carving of Budai with additional significant chips to reverse and top of head. Cord strap in good condition, measuring approximately 350mm. Clasp closing securely. Scratches and areas of minor wear to black enamel consistent with wear, one section on tassel broken and restuck. Metal surfaces also with small areas of minor wear and minor discolouration. Overall in good condition, commensurate with age, total weight approximately 144 grams.
