Condition

Overall in very good condition. The acrylic shades with minor fine surface scratches. The shade mounted to the angled stem is a darker grey colour when switched off but does not appear so when switched on. The metal elements with scattered oxidation throughout. The marble base with minor fine scattered surface scratches. The upper outer edge with a minor nick measuring approximately 1cm and is not visually disruptive. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and recommends having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician.

The present lot is listed in the 1959 manufacturer's catalogue as designed by 'Ostuni & Forti', which refers to Angelo Ostuni and Renato Forti. The name was then changed to 'G. Ostuni' in the 1964 catalogue. Sotheby's would like to thank Thomas and Itsumi Bräuniger from the O-Luce Archives for their assistance with the cataloguing of the present lot.
